An experienced, certified trainer, lifelong dog lover, and founder of Moxie Dog Training & Walking. Since 2015, I’ve worked in every corner of the dog world: daycare, boarding, pack walking, and training.

Meet Terra Coffey
I’m Terra, an experienced canine professional, lifelong dog lover, and the heart behind Moxie Dog Training. I’ve been working hands-on with dogs since 2015—across daycare, boarding, walking, off-leash adventures, and eventually, full-time training.
I founded my walking business in 2019 with one mission: to help dogs thrive through structured enrichment, clear communication, and supportive training. What began as purposeful outdoor adventures has grown into a service rooted in relationship-based training, behaviour support, and building confident, well-rounded dogs.
My passion for behaviour work was shaped profoundly by my own dog, Moxie. When she developed reactivity, I dove into education, mentorship, and practical experience to help her.
That journey led me into the world of professional training and behaviour modification and ultimately reshaped my entire approach.
When I lost her to cancer in early 2025, I made a commitment to carry her legacy forward. I see a piece of her in every dog I support, and she continues to be the reason I do this work with such care and compassion.
Today, I specialize in helping dogs and their humans build calmer, more connected, and more confident lives together. Whether it’s improving engagement, navigating reactivity, strengthening communication, or creating structure that helps a dog feel understood, my approach is always grounded in empathy, clarity, and real-world success.
